Use cases / Content Attribution & Licensing
Keep shared images and video connected to their credit and licence records.
Images and video move between studios, brands and publishing partners while credits and agreements stay behind. TracReal helps reconnect a previously watermarked copy with its registered source, so your team can find its own records and answer credit and reuse questions.

When credit or reuse needs checking

A credit is missing
A publisher receives an image without its delivery email or credit line. Recover the registered source details to find who to contact and confirm the credit.

A new use is requested
An image supplied for a website is proposed for advertising. Use the recovered asset ID to locate your agreement and check the requested placement with the source.

A partner forwards the file
An image reaches another team through a distributor or regional partner. A readable watermark can reconnect the supplied copy with its registered source when the original context is missing.
How TracReal helps
Find the source. Check the requested use.
- 01
Start with the shared media
Mark media before distribution. When a previously watermarked image or video returns without its credit, submit the received copy for a source check.
- 02
Recover a contact you can use
A readable mark with an active registration can return attribution or contact details, the original filename and an asset ID. Registered contacts can be visible to verifiers. Ask the studio to confirm the credit or a new placement.
- 03
Consult the agreement you hold
Use the asset ID to find your separately held licence record. A match does not establish ownership or grant permission: confirm whether the agreement covers paid social use before publishing.
